Oscar Martínez

Oscar has developed his professional career with a focus on advisory, corporate assistance and complex litigation of both national and foreign companies (mainly in the areas of acquisitions, complex contracts, corporate conflicts, bankruptcy, reorganization proceedings, extrajudicial preventive agreements, trusts, etc.).

He began his career in 1984 as a law clerk in the commercial courts of Buenos Aires, then joined Zaefferer Silva law firm in 1986 and was named partner in 1990. In 1998 he joined Naveira, Truffat & Asociados law firm.

In 2006 he was one of the founding partners of NTMDALL, and was appointed managing partner of such firm since its foundation until 2019, when he re-founded Naveira, Truffat, Martínez Abogados law firm together with Gustavo Naveira and Daniel Truffat.

Graduated from Carlos Pellegrini School of Commerce and graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 1988.

He is recognized by Chambers & Partners as one of the leading insolvency and bankruptcy lawyers in Argentina.

At the insolvency level and among many other complex proceedings, he has participated in the salient extrajudicial preventive agreements (Acuerdos Preventivos Extrajudiciales) of Autopistas del Sol S.A., Cablevisión S.A., Multicanal S.A., Transportadora Gas del Norte S.A.

Similarly, the representation of the following companies in their respective preventive reorganization proceedings stands out: Puentes del Litoral S.A., Camino de la Sierra S.A., Sociedad Comercial del Plata S.A., Compañía General de Combustibles S.A., Veinfar S.A., Renesa S.A., Cabelma S.A., Calimboy S.A., Supercanal S.A. and Glovoaves S.A.

It has been very significant his participation as legal advisor to the receivers of the reorganization proceedings of Aerolineas Argentinas S.A., Aguas Argentinas S.A., Trenes de Buenos Aires S.A., CRZ Construcciones S.R.L. as well as the bankruptcy receiver of Oil Combustibles S.A.

He also participated in the acquisition of assets in the following bankruptcies: Cerámicas Zanón S.A., Productos Textiles S.A., Acetatos Argentinos S.A. (In the three bankruptcies, a third party was satisfactorily advised on the acquisition of the failed industrial plant through the “improvement of supply” procedure.
