From May 12 to 14, 2025, NTMA Abogados partners Agustín Ferrari and Valentín Martínez attended the ABI International Latin America Symposium, held at the historic Santa Teresa Hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. Organized by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the symposium is recognized as a premier international forum on cross-border insolvency, sovereign debt restructuring, and asset recovery. The event convened distinguished judges, academics, public officials, and legal practitioners from across the Americas and Europe.

As part of the program, partner Agustín Ferrari was invited to speak on the panel “Sovereign Debt Restructuring,” where he delivered a technical and practical analysis of Argentina’s recent sovereign debt restructuring processes. His remarks addressed the legal and financial complexities involved, the role of international courts, and key lessons learned that may offer valuable insights for other jurisdictions navigating similar debt challenges.
